AAU VC's financial irregularity allegation opposed

The recent publication of certain news about the financial irregularity at the Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat and charges of corruption levelled against some officials of the university, particularly against the VC Dr KM Bujarbaruah, has received sharp reaction from the teaching staffs,non-teaching staffs and the students community of the College of Fisheries , Raha.

Opposing to these news reports, the Teaching staff and the students of College of Fisheries, Raha, on friday staged a sit–in demonstration wearing black badges within the college premises here at Raha.

Raha : The overall flood situation in Nagaon district remained grave for the second day today as incessent rain has been keeping all the rivers of Nagaon district constantly in spate. Raha, Nagaon: Assam State Transport Corporation(ASTC) bus service from Kampur to Nagaon via Kampur-Raha route was flagged off on August 30 by the divisional superintendent, Apurba Barkakati of ASTC amidst cheers of the local citizens.
