Defy I-day diktat

An Assam-based journalists organization appealed to people not to follow the I-day boycott diktat on Thursday.
In a statement, the Journalists' Forum Assam sad that it wants everybody to celebrate the Independence Day to pay tribute to the martyrs of the freedom struggle.
The organization has asked people of the region to hoist the national flag at their houses and at other significant locations.

Media people are urged to join the celebrations of India's 67th Independence Day at the Guwahati Press Club Aug 15.
