A dreaded KPLT militant was killed at an encounter with police in Karbi Anglong district on Saturday.
 
The encounter took place during an operation in Bokajan where the militant identified as Tom died on the spot. Five other militants fled from the encounter spot. Later police recovered an AK-56 rifle along with a magazine, 72 rounds of bullets.
