Sivasagar district chess team selection

Sivasagar district chess players selection will be held on July 25-27 at the employee welfare auditoriam of ONGC, Nazira. District chess players will be selected from this competition for the forthcoming inter district competition at Nagaon in October 2012. Arsenic which is formed in heavy quality in the ground level water of Sivasagar and Nazira makes the people worry. Now the Govt. is trying to create awareness among the people and take some preventive measures.Under the guidelines of ‘National Rural Drinking water quality monitoring and survillance programme the Public Health and Enginerring Department of Sivasagar and Nazira is conducting a few awareness camps in different places.At Santak and Bihubor where two water project were sealed by the PHED Nazira for presence of heavy quantity of arsenic.
