The 1978 batch IAS Officer Prem Prasad Varma, who is presently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary of Assam has taken over the charge of Chief Secretary of Assam on Monday. He has taken over the charge of Chief Secretary of Assam at 4 PM from Naba Kumar Das who has gone on superannuation.
Additional Chief Secretary Jitesh Khosla and Commissioner & Secretary, GAD Ganesh Kalita and others were also present at the time of taking over of charge at the office chamber of Chief Secretary at Assam Secretariat, Dispur.
