HSDP to continue Separate state movement

The Hill State Democratic Party (HSDP) Dima Hasao Committee will not let the spirit of movement for separate state die down in Dima Hasao district although the HSDP failed to win the recently-concluded election to 11th North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council which was held on 20thMay, 2013 in Dima Hasao district. On the contrary, the HSDP Dima Hasao Committee has decided to reform organizational set-up at grassroots level in Dima Hasao with a view to revitalizing the movement of separate state for Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong. The HSDP Dima Hasao committee attributes the heavy defeat of HSDP Candidates in Council Election to the complete role of money power and muscle power on the part of Congress-I and its like-minded Candidates and thus the HSDP failed to make political capital out of the anti-incumbency factor of Congress-I rulers despite the fact that there has been ample issues against the Congress-I ruled Council in Dima Hasao District such as the issue of non-payment of salaries of ‘Normal Employees’ for months together,  deplorable conditions of road communication, irregularities in execution of works and payment of bills in several departments. Moreover, the HSDP Dima Hasao Committee, under the aegis of the Central Committee leaders of HSDP, is ready to work wholeheartedly for the party against  Congress-I in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Election, which is due in 2014, stated press release issued by   Jayanta Nunisa, Secretary,HSDP Dima Hasao Committee, Haflong
