Youth meet at Cotton College

The Organisation for Leadership Development

The Organisation for Leadership Development (OLD) in collaboration with National Service Scheme(NSS) unit of Cotton College, Guwahati organised a “Youth Leaders Meet” on May 24. The programme was addressed by Dr. Niroda Devi, Principal, Cotton College, Sunil Kumar Basumatary, Youth Officer and regional head NSS, North East and Neeru Basumatary, Director of Organisation for Leadership Development.

At the outset Prashanta Chakravarty, Programme Coordinator NSS, Cotton College delivered the welcome address and also stated the purpose of the meeting. The activities of the Organisation (OLD) was explained by Neeru Basumatary. During the programme group discussions and presentations  were held regarding leadership development  issues.

The programme was attended by 50 NSS Volunteers from B. Barua college, Arya Vidyapeeth College, Pandu College, Sonapur College, R.G.Barua College, Gauhati College, Pragjyotish College  and Cotton College. Shantanu Roy Choudhury, NSS Programme Officer from Pandu College, Anupam Das and Dhoniram Boro, Programme Officers from Cotton College  also attended the programme.

The programme was conducted by active NSS Volunteer Ritu Dutta  of Cotton College. All the NSS Volunteers showed  keen interest to  improve their  Leadership qualities and expressed their desire to conduct more and more programmes in their respective colleges in association with  Organisation for Leadership Development .
