Tirap prepares for counting: live on website

The hectic preparation for the counting of votes for the recently held panchayat elections is over in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh. The fate of the contesting candidates which are effectively sealed now in the ballot boxes will be opened tomorrow. All required arrangements for smooth counting of votes are in place. Elaborate security arrangement has been made considering the sensitivity of the district. Tirap Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Dr Sachin Shinde is personally supervising all the arrangements to ensure error-free counting process. A number of government employees have been trained to ensure that the counting process is as per the laid down rules.

For the first time, 4 cameras will be installed, 3 for the live feed on website and one for live-viewing outside the counting hall. The general public and the political parties and their supporters can watch the counting process from outside the counting center. The live feed on counting will be available on www.tirap.nic.in

The DEO has appreciated the effort of the DIO, NIC Ajay K. Singh for arranging the facilities for live-viewing which is the first of its kind in the district.
