Jilikil Luitore Par on April 15
A day-long program “Jilikil Luitore Par” at Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra, Guwahati University campus, Jalukbari on April 15 is being organized by Biswa Ratna Bhupen Hazarika Samanay Satra.
Biswa Ratna Bhupen Hazarika Samanay Satra is a socio-cultural organization formed to work on preservation of works of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s music, life and to do different activities both nationally and internationally in order to pass the legacy of the greatest soul of the soil at its true form and color generations after generation.
The event is going to be directed by veteran poet, composer and lyricist Manmath Baishya. Singers, musicians, actors and commoners from different generations will assemble to pay their gratitude and to celebrate the life and the music of the maestro.
The event will include a violin concert of Bhupendra Sangit by 40 musicians to be headed by Manoj Baruah. A music CD “Tumi Ahar Batere…” a tribute to Dr. Bhupen Hazarika with songs written and composed by Manmath Baishya will also be released.
