In order to showcase the rich Assamese culture and tradition, “Rongali Bihu” 2013 will be held in Delhi on April 21 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.

A traditional Assamese Gamocha hits world record after it was displayed in Delhi on Monday. The Gamocha-like-1.5-kilometer-long handwoven cloth was displayed at a function at 11 in the morning at India Gate in presence of the Guinness Book of World Record officials.Hundreds of people attended the function along with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, DoNER minister Pawan Singh Ghatowar and former supreme court judge Dr Mukndakam Sharma.
