Social worker Ali Hassan passed away

Vetern social worker and ex. Vice Chairman of Nazira Municipal Board Md. Ali Hassan daied after a prolong illness at his own residence of Nazira on March 23. He was 65. He survived by his wife, 2 sons and 1 daughter. Hsan was an active congress leader of Nazira and serving as a vice-chairman of Nazira Municipalty for several times. He was also associated with  Nazira Natya Mandir and different social organisations. Nazira MLA Debobrat Saikia, ex. Minister Hemoprova Saikia and several organisations condoled on the demise of Hassan.

A two-days-long 15th annual conference of the Sivasagar district All Assam Students Union (AASU) was held at Maut Gaon, Simaluguri on on January 4-5.
