Based on specific input about a cache of hidden weapons in general area of Damsodiang Phai (Daiphai) village under Maibang Police Station, a troops of 9 MADRAS along with  Assam Police personnel launched a search operation to recover the said cache on Wednesday. While searching the area outside the village in the nearby jungle, a weapon cache was found hidden underground wrapped in polythene.
