HSDP flays Assam Govt.

Hill State Democratic Party (HSDP) Dima Hasao Committee flayed the Assam Government led by Mr Tarun Gogoi, Chief Minister of Assam, for its failure to hold general election to Autonomous Council in Dima Hasao district in time as well as the failure to dissolve the already expired term of the Council, stated a press release signed by Jayanta Nunisa, Secretary Hill State Democratic Party(HSDP)Dima Hasao Committee Haflong.

The party reiterates its demand to institute the impartial committee to make a probe into the matter as to whether there has been underhand dealings between the ministers/officials of Assam Government and the authorities of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council behind the fact that had led to the extension of the term of the Council w.e.f. 7th December, 2012 for another six months. The party will even move to the Central Government to the extent of demanding the President's Rule in Assam if the Assam Government fails to declare the Council Election in Dima Hasao immediately.
