Two unskilled contractual workers of the ONGC were dead in a devasting fire at GGS No-3 of Gelakey on January 11, 2013. Thousands of people gathered at the GGS and demanded compensation from the ONGCL to the keen of the decead. ONGC Assam Asset fears major disruption in its functionings following the ongoing strike of the motor vehicle labour union. In a press release on Thursday, it said that it was ONGC is not directly involved with the demands raised by the Motor vehicle labour union.
