3 held for killing a hog deer at Samrang

An eleven months old hog deer has been killed at Samrang in Udalguri district at 10 AM on January 11.SSB and forest personnel arrested four persons of No. 2 Samrang namely- Lakhi Newar (45),Rajesh Tanti (16),Bishnulal Newar (40) for killing the hog deer.Another Bijoy Newar (22) has been evading arrest. Green Society,Udalguri and Green Valley Forest and Wildlife protection Society have condemned the killing of the innocent animal.DFO,Dhansiri Division and Ranger of Nonai Range Office said that all the accused persons would be prosecuted under wildlife protection act.
