Flower Show from January 22

The 1st Annual Flower Show cum Exhibition-2013 will be commence from January 22, 2013 with a 28 days programme in the project area of Hi-tech Flower Cultivation in the Departmental Farm of the Directorate of Horticulture and Food Processing(DHFP), Assam at Juripar, Panjabari, Six-mile, Guwahati. The event will be jointly organized by DHFP, Assam and Assam Horticultural Society (AHS). Besides Flower Show, Flower Competition for different categories will be organized in the event. Flower Tubs of Marigold/ Dahlia/ Chrysanthemum/ Bougainvillea; All types of Foliage; Single/Mixed Cut Flower; Orchid; Cactus; Succulent and other flowers like Anthurium, Lilium, Gerbera are the categories of the Flower Competition. The DHFP, Assam will also provide stalls to floriculture nurseries at free of cost for display and selling of their floriculture items in the event.
