In demand of immediate construction of link road from Zero point to Dihur Phonglo at Maibang, several organisations like Dimasa Student’s Union, Dishru Cultural Club, J B Hagjer Memorial Club, Dimasa Women Association, Youth Council for Development, Rainbow Club and the public of Maibang called for a indefinite road blockade of constructional vehicles of all companies at Maibang from 5 am of November, 28
They alleged that despite repeated approaches right from top to bottom, the main road of Maibang left neglected and due to plying of heavy vehicles of all the construction companies, the road is already damaged. The small school children are the worst sufferers due to dilapidated condition of the main road.
They warned if the concerned authority fails to address the plight of the people in regards to the road, they will be compelled to block the vehicles for indefinite period.
Sri A K Langthasa, President, Dishru Cultural Club talking to this correspondent said ‘It is really matter of serious concern that Maibang never gets priority in any matter though it deserves the all round development being the only sub-divisional of the district but remains uncared for’ This time, most of the youths have come to the street In demand of immediate construction of link road from Zero point to Dihur Phonglo at Maibang.
