One Ss pvt Gideon Daime (18) Army No 42301/10(IM) S/O Lt Namra Daime of Village Longmang apprehended by 9 Madras Mahur camp and Mahur police on November 13. Recovered- 4x AK Rds. Daime joined NSCN (IM) in March 2010, trained in Tamei camp, Tamenglong. Operated in entire Zeliangrong region since then, it is learnt.

Haflong Govt College celebrates Golden Jubilee

The Haflong Government, the only multifaceted higher educational Institute of Dima Hasao is celebrating fifty years of glorious existence as the Golden Jubilee Celebration from September 1 with six –day-long programme. On September 3 at 8.30 AM a colorful and spectacular Golden Jubilee Procession is taken out from Haflong Govt. Candlelight procession at Haflong

In support of Anna Hajare, the senior citizens of Greater Haflong took out a candle light procession throughout the Haflong Township on Wednesday (24.8.11) wherein thousands of people from every walk of life take part.
