Dimasa Apex body appeals for peace

The Jadikhe Naisho Hosom, Dimasa Apex body, which was the instrumental in the peace accord appealed to the people of Dima Hasao irrespective of caste creed, religion to cooperate with in maintaining peace, since the historic Memorandum of Settlement (MoS) would certainly benefit all the communities, tribes and non-tribes alike, since peace is pre-requisite for any development.


This was disclosed by Sri Dethang Naiding, President, JNH in a press meet held at Cultural Institute Hall on Tuesday in presence of Sri L K Nunisa, General Secretary, JNH, D Bathari, Publicity Secretary,JNH, Sri Monuj Gorlosa, Social Secretary, JNH etc.


Answering the questions of Pressmen, Naiding also disclosed that the implementation of the MoS would be phase-wise and there will be a monitoring committee comprising member from Central Govt. State Govt and from both faction of DHD. He was confident that the MoS would be implemented in to-to. He said the JNH has been in touch with all the apex bodies of other communities living in the district since long and he was very much hopeful that these apex bodies would also respond positively. In fact people should not be confused and misled regarding the MoS, as this was not only for a particular community it was for all the people of Dima Hasao irrespective of caste creed, religion.Sri Monuj Gorlosa, Social Secretary, JNH termed the MoS as a toolbox containing various tools and apparatus, which could be used for many development works, but only thing ‘these tools should be used properly and carfully.
