Goodwill mission visits victims house killed at Srirampur

A “Goodwill Mission” headed by Thaneswar Malakar,DC,Udalguri visited various villages of Bhergaon sub-division including the house of Nabla Boro (35) son of Kulen Boro of Khagrabari Nalbari village on July 26. Nabla Boro, a CRPF jawan serving under 151 BN CRPF at Jammu had been brutally killed by miscreants at Srirampur railway station on July 23 while he was returning to the place of his posting after spending a moths leave at home. On behalf of the district administration, DC Malakar offered deep condolence to the family members of the victim. He also offered financial assistance to the family. Other distinguished members of the mission were- Nilakanta Gayari, president district Bodo Sahitya Sabha; Benjamin Soren, advisor, All India Santhali Sahitya Sabha etc beside representatives of AASU, ABSU, AGSU, AASA, etc.


The members of the 'Goodwill Mission' also attended two peace meetings one held at the conference hall of the SDO (Civil) Bhergaon and another at Khagrabari Nalbari village. Ratul Pathak SDO (Civil) I/C, Bhergaon; Col. Besappa (Army)and Rati Ram Boro, MCLA, BTC also attended the peace meeting. The members of the mission requested people of Bhergaon to maintain peace at any cost. Talking to this correspondent DC Malakar said that the mission would continue visiting different villages so as to maintain law and order and peace in the district.


In the meantime members of Tangla Press Club,Kalaigaon Press Club,ABSU and Bodoland Journalist Association have offered condolence to the family of Nabla Boro.
