With each passing year the celebrations have grown in scale and grandeur thanks to the tireless efforts and active participation from each and every member of the diaspora. Rehearsals for the big day are underway in many households and everyone is eager to put his/her best foot forward as it is a rare opportunity in a foreign land to showcase the cultural mosaic that is Assam.

Over the years acclaimed artistes from the Assamese music and tinsel world have graced the Bihu celebrations in the UAE and this year is no exception. Singing sensation Dikshu (Sharma) and the talented Priyanka Bharali will be the star attractions and fans here are eagerly anticipating a virtuoso performance from the duo.
