Bomb blast at Haflong

After a lull of few months, miscreants exploded a crude bomb at the residence of one Musafir Ali Laskar a businessman and a resident of Kali Bari colony of Haflong at about 7.15 PM today(Monday). Impact of the blast damaged the front side of the residence causing no casualty.


The police immediately rushed to the spot and launched a combing operation to nab the culprits in and around the Haflong area. No organisation has claimed the responsibility till the filing of this report.

Haflong police recovered a live grenade (No.36) from a flower pot at the residence of one Peter Sumer, Forest range Officer located near Ram Krishna Mission, Haflong on Saturday morning.It is learnt that on Friday night at about 9 pm two unidentified boys came in search of Sumer but as he was not at home, wife of Sumer told them to come to the office next day if they have any works with Peter Sumer.
