Silpi Divas is being organized at Simoluguri
The non-government organization, “Udiyomaan” in association with the Simoluguri branch of “Assam SahityaSabha” is organizing the “Silpi Divas” on 17 th January, 2012, likethe other places of Assam. The day long programme will be held at “Monipuri Kola-Kristi Kendra” of Borkola, Simoluguri.
On this occasion the fine-arts and Jyoti-sangeet competition will be held among children. The open session will be inaugurated by JugaGogoi, the secretary of Sivasagar district SahityaSabha. Md. Mohsin, retired lecturer of NandanathSaikia memorial College,DebobrataSaikia. MLA, Nazira and Mr. DurlovBuragohain, Principal, Siu-Ka-Pha Academy, will be present as asserted speaker, distinguished guests respectively in the discussion, “ The ideal of Jyotiprasad in new generation” which will be presided by UmanandaSarma, retired lecturer of Gorgaon College.

The 63rd republic day is celebrated at Nazira by the administration and the Assam Asset, ONGC. Emon Chetia Phukon of Sepon,a student of Class VI at Delhi Public school, Guwahati, wins third position in the national level fine-arts competition held at Delhi on January 21.
