Himanta thrashes Ulfa, AGP, BJP

The war of words between Ulfa and Himanta Biswa Sarma seems to have taken a bitter turn. Addressing a press conference in Dispur on Tuesday, the education minister reiterated silence from Ulfa during the last ten years if he was really with the insurgent outfit. Dr Sarma launched scathing attack on AGP and BJP for calling for his head on the basis of the Ulfa revelations. He said that he has launched offensive against the outfit and that he would do it in future.

He strongly attacked the opposition parties for fearing to go all out against the outfit. Dr Sarma further announced a new scheme for the pragnent women to be launched on January 30. These women would get sonography and blood test done free of cost.
