Noted Theater Actor Kamala Rabha passed away

Noted stage actor Kamala Rabha passed away after a prolonged illness at his own residence at Sakhati in Kamrup district on Friday, November 4. He was 65. His death was deeply condoled by various organisations and persons in Kamrup and Goalpara district. Born in 1946, he started his acting career in local drama groups. And later he joined several leading theatre groups of the state and involved for three decades. As an actor he first joined the Theater Bhagyadevi and then Kohinoor Theater, Meghali Theater, Anuradha Theater, Aashirwad Theater and many more. Rabha was felicited several times for his acting at different parts of the state.

After his death, several well wishers and number of organizations, both from Goalpara and Kamrup district arrived at his residence and paid their last respects with floral tributes. A procession was also taken out in Sakhati village prior to the traditional rituals and subsequent funeral rites. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.
