I-Day celebrated at Bhergaon,Kalaigaon and Tangla

At Bhergaon: The 65th I-Day has been celebrated at various places in Bhergaon subdivision with gaiety. At sub-divisional HQ Bhergaon, Pranjal Das,SDO,Civil,Bhergaon accompanied by TR Pegu, SDPO,Bhergaon hoisted the tricolour in presence of nearly ten thousand people,which has been a record so far. Both of them inspected a guard of honour before hoisting the national flag.18 contingents of student,police,NCC,ABSU etc took part in the march paste event. Awards were given to a few people for their outstanding performance in various fields. Spectacular cultural and sports events were also arranged to much delight of ten thousand strong public gathering. Lwmsrao Daimari,EM,BTC and a few other distinguished people also attended the ceremony.

At Kalaigaon: Dina Moni Das,Circle Officer,Kalaigao Revenue Circle hoisted the national flag at Gandhi Bakori field,Kalaigaon in presence of thousands of people.The Circle Officer felicitated a few people for their distinguished service to society.Sports and cultural events were also arranged on the occasion for boys and girls. A friendly volley ball match was played in the afternoon. At Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Kalaigaon campus,Madhab Sarma, Principal,JNV,Kalaigaon hoisted the tricolour.

At Tangla : At commercial town Tangla,DN Hazarika,Circle Officer,Harisinga Revenue Circle hoisted the national flag at Tangla HS School Play ground in the presence of several thousand people. A record number of 900 students from various schools of Tangla. Awards were given to successful farmers,sportsman and social workers in recognition to their service to society. The family members of freedom fighters were also honoured on the occasion.The Circle Officer specially mentioned the contribution of great freedom fighter of the district late Pani Ram Das. Cultural and sports events were also arranged during the day.
