Down Town Hospital in association with Guwahati Press Club has organized a health check-up camp for the scribes on June 30 (Thursday) next. During the camp, starting on 10 am, blood sugar &diabetic test, lipid profile and ECG will be conducted. Member-journalists are requested to attend the same.

it is really good to organise such a health check-up camp especially for the scribes.all the press people should attend the camp and get their health checked on that day. i wish success of the camp.

Poacing strikes KNP: Rhino shot dead

Poaching refuses to die down in Kaziranga. Another one-horned rhino was shot dead in the famed Kaziranga National Park on. The carcass was spotted on Tuesday morning at Burhapahar. But the poachers failed to take away the horn. Talking to assamtimes, officials said that there were reports of firing from the Burhapahar range where forces launched an operation against the poachers. Assam Human Rights Commission on Tuesday urged introduction of human rights in the syllabus of primary and secondary school and at the college level. Bodo rally in Delhi against B’deshis

Bodo people on Tuesday staged demonstration in Delhi demanding a judicial probe into the recent riot in BTAD areas alleging that immigrants from the neighbouring Bangladesh have been mongering trouble in these districts.
