World Environment Day observed at Raha

International Computers, a leading computer institute of Raha which have several computer centres in different places of Nagaon and Morigaon district observed ‘ World Environment Day’ on June 5 .


To mark the occasion a day long programme was arranged at Raha centre of the institution. The programme was started with a brief speech, conveying the reason behind observing the day ,by Rashmirekha Devi, Head and the secretary of the institution followed by other guests. She called upon the students and others presented there to be fully conscious of environment protection and its conservation. Stressing on the need of planting trees for the well being of the people on earth ,she requested all to safeguard the environment and reduce the loss of biodiversity.


A tree plantation programme was also organized at 9.30 a.m.on the occasion at Saragaon, Dighaldori , Phulaguri etc. villages which was participated by more than hundred students of the institution and locals of the aforementioned villages

Raha : The overall flood situation in Nagaon district remained grave for the second day today as incessent rain has been keeping all the rivers of Nagaon district constantly in spate. The major rivers of Nagaon district Kolong , Kapilee and Barpanee are flowing above danger level. Raha, Nagaon: Assam State Transport Corporation(ASTC) bus service from Kampur to Nagaon via Kampur-Raha route was flagged off on August 30 by the divisional superintendent, Apurba Barkakati of ASTC amidst cheers of the local citizens. Raha: The State Forest Minister Rokibull Hussain has at last shown interest to set up the state's first Record Room in Nagaon where all officials and non-officials records of Nagaon district will be preserved in a scientific way.
