World Environment Day observed at Raha
International Computers, a leading computer institute of Raha which have several computer centres in different places of Nagaon and Morigaon district observed ‘ World Environment Day’ on June 5 .
To mark the occasion a day long programme was arranged at Raha centre of the institution. The programme was started with a brief speech, conveying the reason behind observing the day ,by Rashmirekha Devi, Head and the secretary of the institution followed by other guests. She called upon the students and others presented there to be fully conscious of environment protection and its conservation. Stressing on the need of planting trees for the well being of the people on earth ,she requested all to safeguard the environment and reduce the loss of biodiversity.
A tree plantation programme was also organized at 9.30 a.m.on the occasion at Saragaon, Dighaldori , Phulaguri etc. villages which was participated by more than hundred students of the institution and locals of the aforementioned villages

The Raha Press Club, on Wednesday condemned in strongest words the attack on journalists at Barpeta, Tezpur, Goalpara and Sibsagar during the bandh called by All Assam Minority Students’ Union (AAMSU) .
