Assam swimming coach to train in USA

Rajib Dey, empanelled coach of Assam Swimming Association, is being invitation to Salo Swim Camp organised by the University of Southern California USA, from June 12 to July 1, where he will work and train under two-times Olympic Coach of USA David Salo. The participation of Rajib dey is expected to enhance his capacity as a swimming trainer.

The Election Commission is set to hold polls for three Rajya Sabha seats from Assam on February 7.According to information available with assamtimes, the country’s poll panel is expected to issue poll notification on January 21 for the three seats. The results are expected on the voting day.Notably, the term for three sitting Rajya Sabha members will end in March this year. They are Bhubneswar Kalita from Congress, Birendra Prasad Baishya from Asom Gana Parishad and Biswajeet Daimary from Bodoland Peoples’ Front.
