Demonstration in favour of Lokpal Bill


Jagoran –Forum of Concerned Citizens, Guwahati is organising a sit and demonstration in favour of Jan Lokpal Bill on 29th May from 11 am to 2 pm at Prashanti Udyan at Dighalipukhuri area in Guwahati. The Forum has been voicing against corruption since its inception last year and had organised different programmes related to same. As a part of its democratic movement against corruption and good governance it has organised the 3 hours sit and protest programme. It is to be mentioned that the forum which started with social networking site has reached out to many people around the state. Jagoran is mostly comprises of youths and other concerned senior individuals.


‘Interested individuals or organisation who are also for the cause and for the introduction of Jan Lokpal Bill may extend their support during the protest’, said by Mr. Kuldeep Sarma, General Secretary of Jagoran. We are going to organise democratic protest and we hope that more and more people from Guwahati and in and around shall extend their support by participating or being with the cause of building a corruption free society. On the other hand Mr. Chandan Bordoloye, president of Jagoran has appealed all people to raise their voice and be part of the movement for Jan Lokpal bill and against corruption.
