Naga intrusion continues in the Assam-Nagaland border

Nagaland gradually intrudes into Assam border and collects taxes illegally from different creaser machine operators of Ogurijan of Nazira subdivision. It is reported that some Naga people illegally set up 4 creaser machines at Ogurijan and for which electricity connection was setup from Nagaland side.. Local administration of Sivasagar district does not take any action to prevent such the Naga aggression towards Assam. Taking this opportunity the Naga Govt. gradually sets up different schools, churches, commercial institutions etc. and occupys large areas of land belongs Assam.

Nagland Govt. established a permanent forest check-gate at Singlo of Chareideo subdivision of Sivasagar district about six months back. But from Assam government side, nothing has been done so far to remove the same.

Few profitable creaser machine businesses of the Border area of Naginimora, Bihubor etc. are now taken over by a few non-Assamese and they are give taxes to the Nagas instead of Assam government.

Assam government should take immediate actions to protect the interest of the state.
