CCTV installed in Dhubri District Library after 20 days delay
Dhubri District Administration had set up closed-circuit television (CCTV) in the District Library on April 24, which is being used as strong room for the EVMs of Dhubri, Gauripur and Golakganj Assembly Constituencies. It is mentionable here that those EVMs were put in that strong room on April 11. The candidates from different political parties, except Congress, have shown their displeasure over the matter. Those cameras should been in place from that very date when the those EVMs were brought there, they complained. But according to the Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri, administration had received the order to use close circuit cameras just one day before i.e. on April 23.

Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri had sealed a godown where rice and peas were stored for the children under ICDS on May 24 on the basis of the complain made by the Anganbadi workers of the Jamadarhat block. On the night of May 22, 19th Madras Regiment of Army arrested two persons as NDFB linkmen from Kamalajhar under Gauripur police station of Dhubri district. On the night of April 21, the Dhubri police seized more then twelve quintals of contraband ganja from a mini truck (bearing number plate AS-19C/3012) from a parking place of Chagolia Entry Gate of Assam-West Bengal Inter State Border of Dhubri district.
