Twelve quintals ganja seized from Chagolia

On the night of April 21, the Dhubri police seized more then twelve quintals of contraband ganja from a mini truck (bearing number plate AS-19C/3012) from a parking place of Chagolia Entry Gate of Assam-West Bengal Inter State Border of Dhubri district.

The truck was loaded with vegetables and was coming from Bokajan (Assam). According to the police the worth of the seized ganja weighting near about 12,700 kilograms is more then Rupees Sixty Lakh. In this connection, the police arrested three persons: truck driver Ram Chandra Mahato and Ashmat Ali and Enal Houqe.
