BPF rally in Udalguri and Darrang

The election scenario is hotting up in Udalguri and Darrang districts. BPF, AGP,Congress and other political parties are now busy in the election campaigning for the assembly election to be held on April 11. BTC Chief Hagrama Mahilari along with other top BPF leaders attended a mammoth election rally organised at Kalaigaon College play ground on April 4 at 2 PM.More than ten thousand people attended the rally in support of BPF candidate Maheswar Baro.The rally had been one of the biggest election rally in the district.On the occasion Hagrama Mahilari said that BPF would work according to people's need and desire.


Criticising AGP and BJP,he said that both the party could very much say nice promises during election time,just to be forgotten later.When in power AGP and BJP they were busy with family and own property.He also did not spare its ally Congress,saying that congress thought only for a few upper Assam districts in the past.According to him BPF believed equality and justice to all the districts of Assam.He further said that the success of congress party was possible only for the support of BPF. On the issue of ST status to six ethnic groups of Assam,Hagrama remarked that BPF was never against such move.He would rather be pleased to offer his help if sought. Biswajit Daimari,BPF MP (RS) also addressed the rally.Thanking the mammoth crowd, he declared that 65 Kalaigaon LAC would be the number one winning LAC for BPF. The rally was also addressed by Maheswar Baro,BPF candidate of 65 Kalaigaon LAC.Several top BPF leaders namely- Lwmsrao Daimari,EM,BTC;Dina Nath Das; Kartik Chandra Baro,MCLA, BTC and Jagadish Sarkar,MCLA,BTC attended the rally.A few district level BPPF, BJP, AGP, AUDF and AMSU leaders formally joined BPF in presence of the BTC chief.
