Fight for justice from the street

Brihattar Tengani Unnayan Sangram Samity, today staged a unique protest in front of DC office Golaghat in a bid to fulfill their long standing demand regarding the compensation to the victims of those trampled by elephant attacks. Many people have lost their lives as well as their homes and hearts due to frequent elephant attacks but the govt. have been paying a deaf ear to the pleas of the victim. Till filing of this report the protestor are firm in their demand of compensation for the victim as well as bringing to book the forest official responsible for the miseries of the people. Meanwhile, the protestors have embraced the streets of Golaghat as a temporary shelter. They have started cooking their meals on the street and many of them even have taken to take a nap right there without forgetting the mosquito net. Hats off to the never say die attitude of the people of Tengani region and let their fighting spirit triumph.
