Nagaon DC announces LAC election schedule

The Nagaon district administration is gearing-up to hold coming legislative assembly constituency (LAC) election of the Assam State in the district on 11 April, 2011. Addressing here the media person Nagaon DC Dr M Angamuthu said that for all the 11 LACs under Nagaon district namely, Raha, Dhing, Batradawa, Rupohihat, Nagon, Barhampur, Samaguri, Kaliabor, Jamunamukh, Hojai and Lumding notification will be issued on 18 March’11 as per Chief Election Commissioner of India notfication.


The last date for nomination filing will be 25 March whereas on 26 March scrutiny of nomination will be carried out. Further, a candidate can wthdraw his/her nomination up-to 28 March, 2011. The counting of votes will be done along with other LAC seats of Assam on 13 May.
