Assam Science Society conference begins at Demow
The 48th Bi-Annual Conference of Assam Science Society began on January 22 at Demow H.S. School. The first day of conference the organizing committee celebrated Silver Jublile of Demow Branch. In this occasion a talk on about the subject 'Bio Divercity of Panidihing Sanctury' being held where the Dr Diptimanto Baruah and Dr Prakash Katoky and Dr Hemanta kr Phukan joined as resourse person.

In a tragic incident this morning at Teliapathar, Moran 2 children Namita Gogoi (10 years) and Munu Gogoi (9 years) respectively died on the spot when a broken wall of a culvert has fallen off on them. Munu's brother Bimal Gogoi (12 years) is also seriously injured in the incident who has been was rushed immediately to Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh and in critical condition.
