Painting,craft and science model exhibition at Tangla
A painting,craft and science model competition cum exhibition was organized at Maharishi Vidya Mandir school premise,Tangla on November 2 recently. Rajashree Borah,principal of MVM, Tangla inaugurated the exhibition cum competition at 12 noon on November 2 with 'Guru Puja' followed by the inaugural ceremony. Several hundred students, teachers and guardians of various schools of Tangla attended the programme to much delight.The painting and craft competition was organizes in four categoris ie-group A for Nursery and KG; group B for classes 1, 11, 111; group C for classes IV, V, VI, VII and group D for classes VIII, IX and X. On the other hand science model exhibition cum competition was organized in two categories ie junior and senior groups.Most of the painting and craft exhibits, mostly working models had great attraction to the visitors.Altogather 80 science models were displayed by the students. A few working models like showing effects of smoking; underground electric wiring; generating electricity by cowdung; earth quake indicator;floating house for flood affected areas;new generation earthing system etc could draw attention of the visitors.
Dibya Borah, Violina Bhardwaj won first prize; Anis Agarwalla, Gill Basumatari,second and Priyanka Sargiary,Krishna Saharia third prizes in science models (group A) while Chintamoni Chakravorty, Ankan Bhattacharjee, Anurag Hazarika won first; Davidson Kalita, Manoj Gupta, Rup Kumar Saha Mandal, second and Jyotirekha Rabha, Cherry Beria and Chiranjeev Beria won third prizes in the science model (group B). People of Tangla have thanked the organizers for arranging the programme.
