SUSPENDED; BUT FOR HOW LONG?? It has been reported that following the road blockade to Nagaland by the All Assam Students Union, the Nagaland government suspended the company commander of IR battalion involved in thrashing students on September 15 at Golaghat in Assam. The myopic and greedy AASU leadership is happy with the monetary compensation which is Rs. 5 lakh each for the injured. But will this organization which has not an ounce of self-respect, keep a tab on the incidents after the blockade is lifted? Has the AASU leadership got any information whether the suspended company commander has been put back into job by the Nagaland government? Has he been suspended for life or for a few days by the Nagaland government? I am sure the person will be at work again after a month or maybe 3 months. This period is enough for the AASU and the people of Assam to forget the unpardonable insult, isn’t it? Ultimately, it’s the Nagaland government which is enjoying the drama and will have the last laugh.
