Mani Subba's nephew kidnapped from Tinsukia


Suspected United Liberation Front of Asom has kidnapped nephew of former Congress MP Manikumar Subba from Tinsukia district of Assam on Wednesday. According to information, a few youths kidnapped Ajoy Raj Subba at gun point from Bordubi in the morning. The incident took place at Bordubi Chariali Subba was on his way back to his residence from his tea estate.


Top ranked police and civil officials rushed to the spot. But the things are remaining clueless. No outfit has owned up the responsibility. Notably, ULFA has been unleashing terror among a section tea garden owners by serving extortion notices for the last couple of years.


Meanwhile, All Assam Gorkha Students' Unionon Wednesday blocked road at Bahadur Chariali in Tinsukia and closed shops in protest against the abduction of their advisor.
