12-yr boy killing near Rangiya: locals ransack accused's residence
Sensation gripped the Rangiya Solmari village following the abduction and then killing of a 12-yr minor class seven boy Mustaque Ahmed on Sunday last. Veting their treasured ires, hundreds of locals here turned violent and reportedly ransacked the house of the accused Rubul Ali, son of the village head man of the same village. The villagers reportedly ransacked and then set ablaze the house protesting the vented ires for the inhuman act of the accused.
Deceased Mustaque Ahmed was a class seven student of Bijuli Nagar High School at the locality and was abducted by Rubul Ali with the accomplice one Bubul Ali of the same village. Abductor killed the boy and kept the body half buried covered with tree leaves inside the ditch traced by the Police later in the evening after alleged confession of the killer. Already, three of the accused - Rubul Ali, Bubul Ali, and Hamid Ali had been arrested by police in this connection and sent to judicial custody.
Mentionably, father of the deceased Mainul Haque, is a Assam Govt PHE employee in Guwahati, and leads a simple and easy going life with his small family pointed towards ransom related matter behind the incident. Talking to Assam Times Ali told that a ransom letter demanding for rupees 5 lakh was served to him few days back. On Sunday last his son was abducted and found killed by the miscreants.

A rickshaw puller named Ravi Thakur was brutally killed here at Rangiya Tiniali at around 8 last night . Thakur, a rickshaw puller by profession was residing here at Tiniali at his own land, was suspected to have been killed due to land related issue. Police today has sent the body for autopsy to GMCH. Two bodies of a mother with her minor son near at ASEB power house quarter complex at Chirakhundi on Thursday. Tragic death of both mother and her minor son had created mixed reaction about the level of security relating life and death. Sabita Kalita, the mother, was found hanged and her minor son Himangshu Kalita (Dhan) found dead at their residence at the ASEB quarter here.
