Bihu celebrated in Seattle Washington, USA

Similar to 2009, this year also Jetuka, Greater Assamese Community, Seattle, USA had a grand Bihu celebration on 17th April in Redmond, Washington, USA. About 70 people gathered on the occasion with lots of Bihu snacks followed by a colorful entertainment of cultural evening. Cultural program started with chorus “Axom Aamar Rupohi….”. Kids perform fashin show and recitals etc. The community performs colorful Husori and lot of other program. The event also included spot quiz with spot prizes. Niribili perform flute recital of Lakhminath Bezbarua’s O’mor aponar dekh…”. During the program Satyajit Nath briefed the community about adopt a child program initiated by AFNA. End of the cultural program Vavani Sarmah given a slide show presentation about Indian Cancer Care Network (www.CancerCare.Net.in ) and the services provided in India in general and Assam in Particular.
