Police have achieved a major breakthrough into the sensational murder of Cotton College professor Dr Bibha Devi when 3 persons in this connection arrested.
Talking to AssamTimes, sources said Raju has confessed his role in the sensational killing case. Police further have recovered Dr Devi's mobile phone.
The killer was arrested 5 hours after the teachers and students took out a silent procession in the city demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits.
Meanwhile, police have arrested the second one killer. He is Nur Islam, a rickshow puller who was pickep up from Rehabari 1 hour after Raju was arrested.
Police arrested one Mujibur Rehman from Fatasil Ambari area in this connection.

Finaly Police has done good job.But to give more protection & safeguard of the gauhatian, at least 2 or 3 police personal should be first withdrawn from the socalled VIPs whom that they are using the policeman as their sakor.

Three coaches of the Dibrugarh-Amritsar Express jumped off the rails near New Jalpaiguri on Wednesday morning disrupting rail traffic on the section. No casualty has so far been reported. According to information received, it was the 5933 Down Dibrugarh-Amritsar Express whose coaches including two unreserved general class derailed at around 6 in the morning in between Magurjan and Aluabari railway stations about 50 km from New Jalpaiguri.
