Dharna at Demow BDO office
Behottor Assamiya Yuva Manch, Demow (Sukanpukhuri committee) staged a dharna on Tuesday in front of the BDO office of Demow demanding the arrest of 3 corrupted Junior Engineers of the block. Unmeasurable corruptions and misuse of government funds have been reported. The organisation has demanded enquiry and punishment of the corrupt officials.

As part of its drive to create awareness and improve infrastructure, the army has been undertaking various projects under operation 'sadbhavana'. 287 field regiment of 2nd mountain artillery brigade under the aegis of DAH DIVISION has taken up an educational-cum-excursion tour of 10 students and 2 teachers belonging to rural and backward areas of Sibsagar district of Assam to Hyderabad and Secunderabad. In a tragic incident this morning at Teliapathar, Moran 2 children Namita Gogoi (10 years) and Munu Gogoi (9 years) respectively died on the spot when a broken wall of a culvert has fallen off on them. Munu's brother Bimal Gogoi (12 years) is also seriously injured in the incident who has been was rushed immediately to Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh and in critical condition.
