In love with 'Assamese Theatre'
When it comes to experiencing rich cultural heritage of Assam , its theatre presents the life full of combination between reel life and real life. Compare to dying state of theatres elsewhere, it is really welcome sign that Assamese people not only love it, but they can defy adverse winter season through chilled night to entertain themselves.
Icing to the cake is the way Assamese cinema artists contribute to its theatrical extravaganza through acting, back-stage support and technical know-how to divide the gap between amateur theatre with its reel counter-part. Really, the professional approach through man-machine combine make the Assamese theatre an awesome experience not only for local people but its worthy experience for me too as being in love with Assamese theatre though language is still not very familiar to me. With the hope that the journey of Assamese theatre will take its journey to long time beyond geographical boundary of Assam, I’m keeping my finger crossed to watch it with my little familiarity of Assamese language, but the culture has no bar, so I’m in love of it as an Assamese would have proud to be associated with it.

The mobility business is so over-whelmed by profit factor that seldom any operator pays any heed to the actual need of mobile end-user in general. Today, Assam is no more a category-C license area, but very lucrative business generating state with ARPU ( average revenue per user), a term used by telcos to analyze revenue against RoI(return on investment), at-par with many high revenue states. This is the reason why besides Airtel, Aircel, BSNL, Tata, Reliance ( these 2 companies are venturing into pan-india dual technology launch of GSM besides CDMA), Vodafone many new entrants are in pipe-line to do mobile business in Assam and whole North-East, namely IDEA, Loop, Datacom, Shyam...

The menace of ‘Ragging’ is so much that hardly anyone can believe that there is any positive effect is involved in the whole process of getting to know each other in due course of time. Especially, if the candidate is staying away from his/ her home town and going to pursue professional course, it is a long time-healing process, which can’t be said to be vanished once the candidate gets promoted into next session. Those who are staying in hostel premises can feel the benefits in long term, considering the ‘mental’ toughness checking need not go into any physical, psychological and emotional turmoil of the candidate.
I’d experience the ‘ragging...
One side Railway Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee is insisting on increasing facilities to passenger, specially targetting railway station in West Bengal as more and more station is under upgradation list from her home state. On the other hand, the apathy of whole North-eastern area can be understand from the woes being faced by commuters on Guwahati Rly station. The gateway to north-east is really in bad state, which partially can be justified by late running of trains due to single line position.
But, the condition of platform including coaches of long distance trains is so dirty that condition of daily commuters can easily be imagined. The drinking water available in very few taps in...
