Children scientists team leaves for Ahmedabad

A 25 member child scientists from Assam has left for Ahmedabad city to attend the 17th National Children’s Science Congress,2009,under the supervision of Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC),Guwahati. According to Biman Barua, state coordinator NCSC Assam and project scientist of ASTEC, 25 child scientists from various districts of Assam had been selected on the basis of their performance in the recently concluded NCSC state congress at Sibsagar from 12 – 15 October,2009.sHe said that the National Children’s Science Congress 2009 will be held Gujrat science city and SGVP international school during 27 – 31 December 2009. Noted scientist and former president of India APJ Abdul Kalam and Prof. Yas pal will attend the national meet to interact with the child scientists coming from different states of India.


According to ASTEC sources,the following 25 child scientists and 9 guides and officials have already left for Ahmedabad city by Brahmaputra Mail on December 22 ,2009.
