Hussain, it has been decided to complete the preservation works within one year. The meeting was attended by the eminent litterateur-journalist Homen Borgohain, Historian Dr Rajen Saikia, scholar Dr Naren Kalita and
the D C of Nagaon Dr J Balaji besides the local citizens and other officials from the administrative section. Later, in a talk with the reporters litterateur-journalist Homen Borgohain said that Nagaon can be proud of this Yeoman's Service.

It should be mentioned here that many valuable documents, apart from the official ones, which have the signatures of the doyens of Assamese literature like Gunabhi Ram Baruah, Anamda Ram Dhekiyal Phukan, Surya Kumar Bhuyan, Bali Narayan Baruah and so on have been lying in a poor
condition in the Deputy Commissioner's Record Room for a log time.
Assam has a long history of history writing and preservation of manuscripts and this innate sense of history mingled with the latest scientific discovery should obviously enrich the future generations of Assam about the glorious past of Assam's History.
