In a big blow to the Assam Public Service Commission, the Gauhati High Court on Tuesday stays the list of the successful candidates in the combined competitive examination conducted by the Commission in 2007. The court order came as a division bench of High Court comprising acting Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice Biplob Kumar Sarma was hearing the petition of a group of candidates who alleged gross anomalies and corruption in the examination.

If the corruption begins in administrative services at selection stage itself, how beneficial will be the society, it can be easily interpreted by everybody. In totality, the fame of APSC is on stake at the cost of genuine candidates future too!!!
Assam needs a young dynamic CM in his twenties. Not this old bunch of politicians totally out of sync with today's time. When corruption becomes the motivation of an administration, things go haywire. Assam is no longer meant for the intellect - only thieves prosper here.Absolute shame.
The APSC is a big corruption house. They are simply here just to loot and cheat common people, quite a mockery to the system.The selection is just a money game and greatly politically linked. Two persons died and nine others have been injured when a powerful bomb exploded at Bhagagarh area in the city on Thursday. That too minutes before the arrival of the Union home minister arrived in Guwahati. According to information, the blast took place at the vegetable market. The bomb was plnted at a bicycle which exploded at round 5-30. The injured persons have been rushed to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital. Five of these persons have been seriously inured.The blast took place two and a half hours after the blast at Birubari area where one person was injured.

One person was injured when a minor blast took place in the city's Birubari area in the afternoon on Thursday. According to information, the bomb was planted inside a dustbin which exploded at around 2-45 in the afternoon.The injured person was waiting near the dustbin.
