Suspected H1N1 patient in general ward

An uneasy situation is prevailing at the Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in Golaghat after a suspected swine flu patient was admitted on Sunday. According to our correspondent, the patient, an employee based in Pune and a local resident of Borsapara Kamargaon was admitted in the hospital on Sunday as he complaint of fever and cough two days after he arrived in Golaghat.


Other patients at the hospital came out of their wards fearing it to be a case of swine flu. But the doctors on Sunday midnight took out the patient and placed him at a general ward instead of an isolated ward. His samples have been sent for test at the Regional Medical Research Centre at Lahowal in Dibrugarh. It may be noted that altogether 6 persons have tested positive in the deadly H1N1 virus infection case. Their condition is said to be normal.
